Sending Astronauts to the moon in 2024

The president directed NASA to land American astronauts on the Moon by 2024, and the agency is working to accelerate humanity's return to the lunar surface by all means necessary. Jim Bridenstine (A American politician and the Administrator of the NASA) confirmed at the 35th Space Symposium on April, 9, 2019 that the agency's proposed human lunar landing system architecture remains the plan to return crew to the surface as quickly as possible.

What is a space suit made out of.

The innermost layer ( closest to the center ) is made up of a Nylon tricot material. ( Tricot is a warp knit fabric, with a structure that will appear different from typical weft fabric) Another Layer composed of sandex, an elastic wearable polymer. There is also a layer of urethane coated nylon, which is  involved in pressurization. ( The process in which conditioned air is pumped into cabin or an aircraft or spacecraft) Dacron is a type of polyester that is used for a pressure restraining layer.

Nasa Voyager 1 and 2

  1. Both Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 space probes contain a 12 inch gold plated copper disk. The purpose of these disks are to carry sounds and images which we intent to use to  communicate with other life out there (space). The Voyagers spacecraft began a historic journey and each carried a unique time capsule along with them.  The contents were selected by Nasa which contains 115 images and a variety of sounds on it. also it has greetings from 55 different languages. Both voyagers are traveling at nearly 35,000 miles per hour, it will take them nearly 40,000 years to reach their rather indistinct boundary. Each record is encased in a protective aluminum jacket, on the disk it has the explanation of the origin of the disk and instructions on how the record is played.  The main point of all of this is to communicate with other extraterrestrial life.

Facts about space

Space is the boundless three-dimensional extent in which objects and events have relative position and direction. Physical space is often conceived in three linear dimensions, although modern physicists usually consider it, with time, to be part of a boundless four-dimensional continuum known as spacetime.

Nasa's Maven spacecraft

Nasa's Maven spacecraft has been in orbit for four years. It is currently in orbit around mars. Over the next few months, Maven engineers will use navigation tech know as aerobraking-like applying the brakes on a car- to take advantage of the drag of the Red planet's upper atmosphere to slow the spacecraft down gradually, orbit by orbit. This is the same drag you would feel if you put your hand out the window of a moving car.

Nasa's plan for mars and about it.

The United States Congress has mostly approved a new direction for NASA that includes canceling Bush's planned return to the Moon by 2020 and instead proposes asteroid exploration in 2025 (Asteroid Redirect Mission) and orbiting Mars in the 2030s. The journey from Earth to Mars takes about 300 days. Every two years Mars is at its closest point, only 55 million km from Earth, and it's the ideal time to send a spacecraft. Travel time depends on the positions of the planets and how much fuel you're willing to burn.

The temperature in space

In space their are many temperatures. When your out far from the sun the temperature can be -454.81 degrees Fahrenheit. This is mostly due to a lack of atmosphere and the vacuum like nature of space. The temperature can also get really hot if your close to the sun or your orbiting between stars.

How the arm works in space suits

  • The Space suit arm has 14 layers of material to protect the Space walker. The liquid cooling and ventilation garment makes up the first three layers. On top of this garment is the bladder layer. It creates the proper pressure for the body.

    How space suits work

  • The space suits pants have a ring at the waist with bearing to help the astronaut turn his or hers body. Red or “Candy Cane” stripes on the suit will help to tell astronauts apart in space. The helmet is a clear plastic bubble that contains pressurized oxygen for the astronaut to breathe.

Why the color?

  • Astronauts space suits when they go on space walks is white to keep them warm because white reflects heat so the astronauts doesn’t get to warm. The orange is to stand out in the land scape for safety reasons.

Space suits in the future

  • Nasa is making new space suits like Apollo space suits, the new ones will let the astronauts work safely on rocky grounds. They will help the astronauts do the things that they couldn’t do before. The new suits will make it easier to move. They will protect them from dust and will have parts that can be swapped

The main parts of a space suit

  • The main parts of a space suit are maximum absorption garment , liquid cooling ventilation garment ,EMU electrical harness and lower torso assembly. No . You don’t have to wear a space suit all the time. Astronauts don’t have to wear a space suit in the space shuttle because the space shuttle has oxygen.
